Crab masala

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg, crabs
  • 14 cup coriander leaves, chopped fine

Roast and grind

  • 2 onions, large, finely sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, medium, finely sliced
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp black mustard seeds
  • 6-7 garlic cloves
  • 1 12” ginger, minced
  • 3 green chilies
  • 1 tsp black pepper corns
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, small
  • 1 pinch ova
  • 12 tsp fennel seeds
  • 8 red chillies (long and short)
  • 12 tsp turmeric powder
  • 12 fresh coconut, grated
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt, as per taste

Method:

Clean and cut the crabs into two halves and keep aside.

Take a pan and add oil, half the sliced onions, one green chilly, some ginger and curry leaves. When u start to get an aroma, add the roasted ground masala and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add some water to the masala and keep a thick consistency.

Give the mix a boil and add the cleaned crabs. Mix well and let it boil on low flame for 15 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaves.
